Sponsored by Sibley County, Santa’s Helpers is a program whereby donated presents are organized and displayed for children and parents in need.  Children choose gifts for their parents and vice versa.  The Arlington Lions Club and Sibley East Area Lions Club have assisted this program for many years by contacting donors, arranging for donation sites, collecting and delivering presents to the display area, and wrapping presents for children and parents.  Recently, the Sibley East Junior High Leos have helped set up  the present area

The Arlington Lions fronted the Cub Scouts the money to pay for the moving of a donated town hall building to the Sibley County Fairgrounds.  This building is the new home of the scouts.  Moving the building was very expensive.  The scouts have slowly been repaying the Lions Club through money made at an annual waffle breakfast, sponsored and assisted by you know who, the Arlington Lions!

 

 

For decades, the Arlington Lions and, more recently, the Sibley East Area Lions and Green Isle Lions have sponsored one of the areas outstanding track and field meets at the Sibley East School District athletic complex.
